Robert Iafelice, MS, RD, LDN, Registered Dietitian
Robert began his career as a clinical nutritionist in 1985 upon completion of a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. In 1988, Robert moved to Chicago to work at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, designing innovative diet and supplement programs for cancer patients to support their medical treatment. He later left the hospital environment to work with an allergist in a private practice, where he helped hundreds of allergy and asthma patients identify problem foods and manage their weight. Robert returned to Northeast Ohio in 2003 to be closer to his family and start up Nutrition and Fitness Professionals, Inc., his own consulting business.
In August of 2012, Robert joined the NEO Institute of Functional Medicine as the Therapeutic Lifestyle Director. In this role, Robert implements various lifestyle interventions that Dr. Sprecher prescribes for her patients. Those include specific eating plans for metabolic syndrome, weight management, detoxification, food allergy and the ReCode (Reversal of Cognitive Decline) protocol. Robert also teaches nutrition classes such as Gluten Free Eating and The Ketogenic Diet.
Robert is a fitness Enthusiast and devotee of high Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). A former United State Amateur American Rhythm Dance Champion, he loves to salsa!
